The course introduces students to the methods described in the textbook, "Introduction to the Personal Software Process " by Watts Humphrey, mainly at time management and defects management. It takes the student 1 semester with 2 hours lessons per week and 2 hours practices every two weeks. The material is presented in the form of lectures, homework and practices.
In this course, students learn to gather the data needed to continue improving their quality and productivity by setting realistic process goals, planning and quantitatively measuring the results. They learn to define, establish and improve their own software development processes.
